Is it an electric coffee roaster? |
Yes! Our heating source uses "near-infrared Halogen", which is an exclusive cross-national patent that allows the infrared to be generated directly at the center of the roaster. The energy is concentrated on the coffee beans, and there is no need for fire throughout the process. Therefore, there is no charcoal or gas smell, and you can roast with just a 220V socket! |
Does Rubasse have a home coffee roaster? |
Yes, Rubasse unveiled its new 500g home coffee roaster, the Rubasse Nano, at the 2020 Taiwan International Coffee Show. It is designed for home use, and can roast from 100g to 500g with flexible capacity. It also features a professional commercial cyclone dust collection bin design, which makes it easy to clean without worrying about silver skin. The most important feature is the complete recording and PID algorithm roasting with Rubasse self-developed software, making it ideal for professional players, beginners, and micro-commercial use. |
What makes your infrared technology different from others? |
Currently, only Rubasse uses "short-wave near-infrared halogen" for coffee roasting. When heated, the halogen emit high-energy, strong-penetrating short-wave near-infrared rays, which can penetrate coffee beans (grains) up to 1 centimeter and directly heat the body. The advantage is uniform heating without the problem of uneven roasting. Other infrared heating technologies mainly use far-infrared rays, which only penetrate grains up to 1 micron and cannot penetrate iron pots, resulting in low heating efficiency mainly relying on heat conduction and convection.

What is the lifespan of the infrared halogen? |
The Rubasse coffee roaster is equipped with three short-wave infrared halogens, each with a lifespan of 6000 hours. If the roaster is used for 8 hours a day, the lifespan of each lamp would be around 750 days. Rubasse has been on the market for five years, and there has not been any feedback from customers regarding the lifespan of the lamps. |
Is there any service for back-end smoke treatment (smoke hood, electrostatic machine, water washing machine, activated carbon, etc.)? |
Rubasse currently mainly sells coffee roasters, and the back-end smoke equipment is coordinated with water washing machine manufacturers. If other back-end equipment is installed, Rubasse will provide an exhaust installation configuration diagram, and the installation can be performed by the manufacturer according to the installation configuration diagram. |
I heard that electric heating doesn't provide enough heat? |
With a maximum roasting capacity of 3 kilograms. It takes only 9 and a half minutes to heat the beans from the warming point to 225℃, and the roasted beans are evenly cooked without being burned. So, the electric heating power is absolutely sufficient! |
Is the amount of exhaust accurate enough? |
Rubasse chose a brushless DC motor for the air damper design. It has a small size and strong power, and controls the air volume by locking the rotation speed, which can accurately adjust the required air volume. After actual testing with an anemometer, the air damper parameters (%) and wind speed show a very accurate linear relationship.

As an experienced bean seller, how much production volume can I expect to achieve in a month? |
Taking the 3kg model as an example, according to actual tests conducted by customers, 4 batches can be produced per hour, 8 hours of work per day, and 22 working days per month, producing over 2 tons of roasted beans is achievable without any problems. |
Is it easy to clean? |
When designing the Rubasse coffee roaster, the founder considered it from the user's perspective and made it easy to clean, with only a few screws needing to be turned to disassemble and install. |
Do you have any coffee roasting courses or related activities? |
We regularly hold various events with our global dealers, including basic roasting tutorials, operation tutorials, roasting experience sessions, and roasting workshops. You can find information about all kinds of courses from here. |
Where is Rubasse made? |
Rubasse was founded in 2013 by its founder, Dr. Cheng, a physics PhD from National Taiwan University, who personally designed, developed, tested, and assembled the machines. The entire machine is made in Taiwan, making it a true MIT (Made in Taiwan) brand. |
