Motivation for Purchasing a Rubasse

In the past, I used a 1kg home Electric Heating roaster. Over long-term use, I found that its resistive heating elements didn’t provide a linear temperature rise. I constantly had to anticipate and pre-adjust Heat Power, which required a lot of guesswork and experience. After discovering Rubasse—which is also an electric system but uses Near-Infrared (NIR) as its heat source—I truly realized what ‘data-driven linear heat control’ means. Changes in heat power are reflected instantly and stably on the Roast Profile, delivering thermal energy to the beans with extreme precision. This is a massive advantage when I need to perform Profile Reproduction for the same heat configurations later on.

What advantages stand out to you?

My previous model lacked integrated exhaust treatment and Chaff collection systems. Smoke and impurities would often accumulate during the roast, which negatively impacted the flavor. I recently reached a point where I needed to upgrade to a higher Drum Capacity . I’ve been using the Micro 3kg Professional Edition for over six months now, and I feel that Rubasse is exceptionally strong in terms of aroma expression and cup clarity. With the comprehensive data feedback provided, I have much more mental space for Roast Design . Lately, I’ve been looking to experiment further with ‘enhancing the body and finish’ of my roasts.
